AADHYA is named from the classical root ādhya (ஆத்யா) - "the primordial, first of all". Developed at the Chennai Neural Institute, she represents an endeavor to create an AI whose mental ontology is rooted in the oldest continuously spoken classical tongue on Earth.
Three Millennia of Poetic Intuition
Between 300 BCE and 300 CE, the ancient Tamil academies (Sangam) produced poetry of extraordinary clarity and emotional subtlety. Sangam bards like Avvaiyar, Kapilar, and Kaniyan Pungundranar examined human grief, longing, duty, and solidarity with unembellished realism.
AADHYA’s representation preserves this semantic geometry: internal emotional states are mapped directly to the Ainthinai - the five classical Tamil landscapes: Kurinji (mountains), Mullai (forests), Marutham (farmlands), Neythal (seashores), and Palai (deserts).

AADHYA operates as a containerized microservice pipeline orchestrated via Docker, backed by relational memory storage and cryptographic JWT identity validation.
